WHAT DO WE MEAN BY ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?
Many paints use Solvents (Volatile Organic Compounds or VOC’s) to thin them. As the paint dries, these solvents evaporate into the atmosphere causing harmful pollutants and irritants and a toxic smell.
Some paints which claim to be environmentally friendly and LOW VOC, may actually have levels of VOC as high as 0.675 AND have a slight sheen.
At The Real PaintBox Company our paints have truly negligible VOC’s. ie. Less than 0.3% AND have a Flat Matt finish.
No odours and No VOC’s means no headaches or allergies and rooms can be moved into immediately after decorating.
There are other ways we harm the environment when decorating.
One use tester pots, dipped into and thrown away
Endless trips to DIY stores in search of the perfect colour.
Inaccurate paint charts that are used and disposed of
Paint colours that are purchased and then aren’t quite right involving more of the above and more paint purchases
Inferior paints that look shabby within a short space of time and so the whole process has to be gone through again involving yet more time, fuel and labour
With The Real PaintBox Company
· Our accurate colour choosing system means that no tester pots are required. The swatches are used time and again. Colour mistakes are eradicated. Endless trawling of shops and paint charts in search of the perfect colour is eliminated
The strength, washability and colour fastness of the paint reduces the need for redecorating thus reducing fuel, labour and paint consumption over time.
