FURNITURE PAINT

In order to paint furniture well, the paint itself needs to be exceptional in many ways.

It needs to have an outstanding finish – one that is beautiful, tough and won’t fade or yellow.

Traditionally, this fine finish was achieved with oil based paints. These provided the toughness and silky smooth finish essential to the finished product.

However, oil based paints, whilst providing all of the above qualities, are reactive to ultra violet light and will fade and yellow in patches dependent upon the amount of light and shade falling upon an area. They also smell, are difficult to clean up after and do not comply with the 2010 EU regulations on paint toxins as they release harmful pollutants into the atmosphere.

Our furniture paints are used by the top kitchen manufacturers in the country and here’s why:

Our water borne furniture paint has the toughness and finish of an oil based paint

With fantastic adhesive qualities, it can cover most surfaces

Fantastic flow and levelling means that you can achieve a top quality, professional finish

The paint adheres tightly to surfaces so that you don’t get build up of paint in edges and grooves, thus maintaining definition

Our paints offers fantastic coverage which means less coats are required, even with darker colours

Our paints are odour free and non allergenic, conforming with 2010 EU regulations on paint toxins

Our paints are colour fast and non yellowing – particularly important features when it comes to furniture. When using normal furniture paint, cupboard insides will darken and exteriors will change colour at varying rates, over time. With our furniture paint, the colours will remain true, even on the inside of cupboards!

Our furniture paint is available in our complete range of colours and semi matt and semi gloss finishes

NOTE FOR CABINET MAKERS AND KITCHEN CABINET MAKERS

Our furniture paints can be sprayed on.

Our furniture primers can be coloured to match the top coat.

This means that you can spray on 2 coats of primer in the workshop and apply 1 coat of top coat on site, resulting in more spraying time, less painting time thus less labour time.
