FINISHES AND USES

 

The durability of paints can be graded based on a simple garden brush rub test. The resultant rub value denotes the number of rubs which can be performed before the paint starts to wear off.

High street paints range from 200 to 500 rubs

 

Our paints vary in strength from 2000 to 10000 rubs – upto 50 times tougher than average paint

For interior walls and ceilings choose from our Matt 2000, Matt 5000, Semi Matt 10000 or Semi Gloss 10,000

 For most jobs, Matt 2000 (a paint with 2000 rubs on test) has ample strength and washability.

                  

Use Matt 5000 (5000 rubs on test) in kitchens and bathrooms, hallways and utilities

     

For areas of heavy traffic, wet rooms, swimming pool areas, splashbacks in kitchens and bathrooms and industrial applications use our Semi Matt or Semi Gloss 10000 (10,000 rubs on test).  This paint finish is steam cleanable and mounld resistant! 

 

 For all woodwork, cabinets and radiators use our Furniture Primer topped with our Semi Matt or Semi Gloss Furniture paint

 

 Our superior exterior masonry and woodwork paints are extremely durable and weather resistant. This makes them ideal for properties exposed to extreme weather conditions – including coastal properties and properties in hot climates, like Spain and the Carribbean. 

                   

Normal exterior paints fade quickly, become brittle under UV light and don’t move with the building, so they crack and let water in under the surface leaving the exterior facade open to attack from mould and algae.

                  

Our paints offer an extremely durable finish which will hold their colour for far longer than normal paints – even under extreme conditions. 

Our paints will protect against chemical and biological erosion, significantly reducing the occurrence of mould and algae growth. 

Also, they are elastomeric (flexible) so they stretch with the building, without cracking. 

All of this increases the life of the painted surfaces and so reduces maintenance costs.

 Our Floor Paints are extremely tough and durable. They offer good abrasion resistance and can be used on wooden and concrete floors in domestic and light industrial applications.
